Summer
2011 Class Schedule
Pieced Quilts
Pieceful Foundations
Instructor:
Bobette Weimer
Foundation piecers unite
- or wanna be foundation piecers - or wanna know what
foundation piecing is? We'll be meeting once a month to
learn and practice together. We will continue on with
blocks from a book called, "Roaring Through the 20's"
that is full of wonderful blocks you use in small
individual projects or in a large quilt. You can make
this as challenging as you want - the block patterns
come in a 4" size (yes, the whole block finishes to only
4"!) or 10" size. We have a lot of fun, so come and join
us! Book purchase is required for this class.
Four Sessions -
Thursdays, May 19, Jun 9, Jul 21, Aug 18, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Use up your charm packs,
leftover charm squares (5" squares) or any of your many
scraps that you may have hanging around for this great
little wall hanging, crib quilt, or make it larger if
you wish! Sew all your squares together, re-cut, re-sew
and then we have these cute little pinwheels!! Kind of
like a Do-Si-Do.

Quilts on Canvas
Instructor:
Terri Nussbaum
Do you have the desire
to make a quilt, but really don’t have the time or the
need for another big quilt? Well, here is something fun
and a little bit different. We will make a terrific
small quilt more like a piece of art, stretch it over
canvas, no need for binding (my favorite part!!) and
there you have it. Quilts on Canvas!
This will satisfy all of
your needs. A need to work with your hands, be creative,
complete something in a relatively short amount of time
and show the results to the admiration of others with a
finished project! As Country Living Magazine said in the
March issue, “quilted art is what is hot in the country
design.”
Two
Sessions - Monday, Jul 25, Aug 1, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Class Fee: $45.00

Frame it Up!
Instructor:
Terri Nussbaum
There is a great way to
frame up some of those special pictures, fussy cut
fabrics, sayings, or anything else you want o bring some
attention to. We will work with some photo transfer,
teach you how to do a fussy cut, and then we will frame
it up. Learn this great quilt, you can make it with as
many frames as you would like, maybe 1, or 2, or even 9.
Other frame size options available.

NEW!

This quilt looks very
intriguing with making just three familiar blocks – a
four patch, the snowball, and a flying geese block. The
colors are so cheerful and fun. There’s a kit available.
