Winter/Spring 2024

Beginning Hand Embroidery (Leslie True)                                    Class Fee: $25.00

Pattern: Bless Our Home Blackwork

During this one-session skill-building class you will learn the basics.  We will talk about tools, thread selection, and fabric preparation, as well as the most common stitches used in embroidery.  If you have never tried embroidery but always wanted to learn, or just need a refresher on the basics, this class is for you!  Kit purchase required.


1 Session:  Tuesday, February 20  11:00-2:00


Beginning Quilt Piecing (Leslie True)                                            Class Fee:  $50.00

Pattern: Hanky Panky

In this two-session skill-building class you will learn the basics starting at the very beginning.  We will talk about tools, rotary cutting, piecing, fabric selection, and binding.


Whether you are a beginner or an old hand at quilting, you’ll find this an easy quilt to put together.  You will learn the basics of piecing with this quilt while still finishing quickly enough to feel accomplished.  Quilt Size:  approx. 52" X 62”  Pattern purchase required; kit available.

2 Sessions:  Saturdays:  March 2 and March 16  11:00-2:00


Intro to Beading (Leslie True)                                                        Class Fee $20.00

In this one session class, Leslie will share the basics of beading and teach you how to make a daisy chain bracelet!

1 Session: Tuesday April 9  11:00-2:00


Let’s Keep On Sewing (Alyne Hansen)                                          Class Fee $50.00

The class continues with Alyne Hansen as the teacher, and will feature the Woodland quilt (sample made by Bobette) to make over the 4-month session. Students have the choice to purchase the kit or use their own fabrics. Book purchase required.


4 sessions:  Tuesday Evenings January 9th, February 13th,

March 12th & April 9th   6:00-9:00


Mystery Star Quilt (Debbie Elhard)                                                                                        Class Fee:  $50.00

This is a fun star quilt that uses 12 fat quarters plus 1-1/3 yards background fabric for a 60” quilt or 22 fat quarters plus 2¼ yards background for an 80” quilt. Kits to duplicate Debbie’s 80” sample will be available for purchase or choose your favorites.  The pattern is a mystery!


Pattern included in the class fee and kits are available.


2 sessions:  Sundays, March 10 and April 14   12:00-4:00


Sew Much Fun Night Out (Alyne Hansen)                            $25.00 Each Session

Be prepared for some fun, games, and a few prizes, along with Alyne’s advice and help

in completing your UFOs (UnFinished Objects)!


Minimum/Maximum Participants:  the minimum of 4 participants must be signed up one

week before class, otherwise the class for that month will be canceled. Limit 10



Supplies:  Bring your sense of humor and equipment/supplies for UFOs!


4 sessions:  Fridays January 5th, February 9th, March 1st & April 5th   5:00-10:00pm


Sewing Circle (Debbie Elhard)                                                       Class Fee:  $50.00

Come and sew with friends!  Bring your wool, embroidery, or other projects with you to work on while you sit and chat with fun sewing friends!

4 Sessions:  Friday, January 5 & Tuesdays: February 13, March 12, April 16 




Wooly Girls (Alyne Hansen)                                                           Class Fee $50.00

Wooly Girls offers your choice of several projects for this 4-month session, or

continuation of your on-going wool BOM. Alyne will help and get you going on your

wool adventure. A strong beginner is recommended for this class. Monthly kit

purchase is required.

Woolen Sheep Blankets

Wool Recovery (Carole Johnson)                                                   Class Fee:  $50.00

Have you purchased too many wool kits from the shop but don’t have enough time to finish them?  This class is for you!  Join us for a fun 3 hours of stitching wool, snacks, and friendships.

4 sessions:  Wednesdays January 17, February 21, March 20, April 17

Class Policies
Please Read Carefully 

Please be aware that in signing up for a class, you are agreeing to adhere to our class policies as outlined below:

Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, please check our Facebook page for the most up to date information. If road conditions are too icy for us to have class, it’s likely the store will not be open and there may be no one in the shop to answer your call. Classes postponed due to inclement weather will be rescheduled at the teacher’s convenience as soon as possible.

Refunds and Cancellations: CCQ reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum participation levels. In the event a class is canceled for this reason, you will receive a full refund. Classes that are rescheduled due to inclement weather are only eligible for store credit.

If you cancel more than 14 days before class, you will receive a refund in store credit. If you cancel after that period or fail to show up for a class, no credit or refund will be given.

Be Thoughtful of Others:  It’s a small space to be shared in the basement, so please do NOT attend class if you have any symptoms of a cold or flu and may be contagious.
